Do we resell your email id?

No. We do not give away email ids. Your email ids can be seen by all your friends if you allow them to. The rest of the information, other than your name is optional. You can release as much information about yourself as you like.

There are 2 levels of information, the first level is to the ordinary member, whereas if you create a contact relationship with another person, and he agrees to it, both of you will have access to more details that you post in your profile.

Is our site secure?

The site is secure. Whilst it is never possible to give absolute guarantees for any system we have ensured that security of your data is a prime concern and prioirty for us. Any emails and notification sent out by myFriends (such as the initial contact email, new member alerts, forum notifications) will be virus free. Once you have made contact with a friend we would not have control over what they send you. We recommend that you have up-to-date virus prevention and checking software.

What Browsers are supported?

The site will work with Internet Explorer V6 and above, and Firefox V1 and above. Internet Explorer, however is prefered as a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML text editor is enabled in this environment.

What can't I access the site?

You need to set your browser to accept cookies (Tools/Internet Options/Privacy in Internet Explorer). We use cookies for communication, not to track usage.

What happens to ids that are registered but have not logged in?

They will remain as inactive members and wil not receive forum notifications. They will however receive new member notfication. This is to encourage them to sign in, as they may recognize some other friends who have joined the community. A function is available for the Administrator to remove the inactive ids after 30 days of them not signing in.

Can the email user names be changed after being created?

Yes, they can be changed at the profile. The Administrator password, however, cannot be changed except through us. Please ensure that you do not lose the password.

Can I change the top left logo, the title banner and the colors of the left, right panel and the menu?

Yes, we can change all these during the first 30 days. The logos and the selection of the colors are to be supplied by you. After the 30 days, there will be an administration charge to change any of these.

What about the 2 banners in the homepage?

The 2 banners will be used for advertisements by myFriends in order to reduce the cost to you. Any advertisments will be carefully chosen and not be offensive (we do not support sexually explicit content). Contact us if you want to use the slots for your own advertisements.

What if I need more than 5mb of space fo photographs or increase the number of users?

You should first try and manage the size of the photos. Instructions on how to reduce the size of a photo is in the Upload Photo page. Also do consider removing members who have not logged in for a long time. Some of these could be none-existent ids or duplicates. After that, please approach us and we will provide you with an upgrade price.

How is payment to be made?

Through a crossed cheque, annually. Other payments may become available in future. Payment should be made 30 days before the expiry date of the site by the adminstrator.
